Merry Christmas and a very precious New Year to you from Lighthouse Trust!
It has been such a joy and a pleasure to have been a special part school life over the past decade. We have had some wonderful times together with our schools and good relationships have been built. We are looking forward to the future full of hope, as we look for new and innovative ways to support the schools across our county.
Our December assembly focused on honour; a word that maybe has been mis-used and mis-understood over the years. We showed the children how God loves to honour the ones that others may overlook, as we watched how he shared the message of His son’s birth with the shepherd’s on the hillside.
We asked the children to think of ways that they could honour those around them over the holiday period; looking for the ones who have been overlooked. It was a precious time to see the children laugh, be still and to take on this invite to love the forgotten, just as Jesus did.
Looking forward to what 2020 brings to us all, and working together for the welfare of our children.
With much love to you all,
Leah Peters. x
